About

Sustainability

Dominant are responsible for maintaining environmental and sustainable policies that are followed in all areas of our business. Along with being certified with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, we have an Environmental Policy that directs our sustainability efforts across the business. Throughout each sector of our business, we choose to uphold the highest standards and ensure that we consistently exceed the requirements of the latest ISO 14001 Environmental Standard.

Responsible Manufacturing Standards

Minimising our environmental footprint is an essential consideration in all stages of our business, including responsible production of our products and appropriate management of waste material. Upholding our core values is very important to Dominant. We lead with continuous improvement and are constantly looking for ways to implement more environmentally sustainable practices.

Environmentally Responsible Products

We are constantly innovating and developing new products with a focus on their impact on the environment. We offer a range of products that are garden and septic safe, contain no phosphates or formaldehyde, and have recyclable packaging. Our Plant Powered ready-to-use cleaning range features eco-friendly products with plant-based ingredients and readily biodegradable formulas. We are always innovating and creating new products with sustainability front of mind.

Reduce Waste and Carbon Footprint

We formulate products that are highly concentrated, resulting in less use of plastic packaging and a lighter carbon footprint. Additionally, we are conscious of our electricity consumption and have begun installing solar panels, to transition our power requirements to renewable energy sources.

Sustainable Procurement

Dominant supports suppliers who can provide ingredients from renewable feedstocks. Our procurement process involves a supplier performance review with a focus on sustainability, both in the material feedstock and in the supply chain

Reporting and Monitoring to Government Bodies

Dominant reports to multiple government bodies on our businesses environmental impact, including the Environmental Protection Agency, National Pollutant Inventory and SA Water Trade Waste Authorisation. We are also a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant which aims to reduce the harmful impact of packaging on the Australian environment.
